The official Guns N’ Roses website has been reskinned with the classic logo and the webstore features a ton of classic-themed merch, all of which is fueling rumors that the original lineup of the group will be reuniting for a tour. This lineup includes vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler.
These rumors began in the summer when Slash announced that he and Rose had mended their relationship after nearly 20 years of bad blood. People are also convinced that we’re going to get the first official announcement when Coachella releases its 2016 edition on January 5th.
Guns N’ Roses rose to fame in the 80’s with their blend of hard rock and heavy metal in albums such as Appetite for Destruction, Use Your Illusion 1 and Use Your Illusion 2, each of which sold millions upon millions of copies, making the band one of the most successful groups on the planet.
We hear this reunion is happening, but it’s simply a matter of whether or not it will implode before full plans are realized. Here’s hoping that it goes through as seeing this lineup has always been a dream of mine!
