Brad Fiedel’s ‘The Terminator’ Coming to Vinyl

Director Nicolas Winding Refn is all about bringing classic movie scores to vinyl, which is why he’s teamed up with Milan Records for the “Nicolas Winding Refn Presents” series. This partnership has resulted in the release of such titles as Bronson, Robocop, and more.

Today, a classic action sci-fi/thriller title is being added to that library in the form of Brad Fiedel‘s score to James Cameron’s 1984 film The Terminator, which the kind folk over at Pitchfork announced. The long out-of-print soundtrack will be coming out on April 8th.

Fiedel’s score will be released as a double LP on 180-gram red/blue splattered vinyl that happens to look absolutely gorgeous. The composer stated, “I am very happy that I had the opportunity to be involved in this release of The Terminator score. It’s exciting to finally put out a version of the soundtrack that is in sync with my original vision of how the score should sound.

Below you can see the packaging as well as listen to the “Main Title” sequence, which features that infamous BA-BA-BA-BABA! God, I love that theme.
