Spoilers, but not really, as anyone familiar with Image’s “The Walking Dead” comic series knows that Glenn Rhee died by the hand of Negan’s barbed-wired baseball bat, Lucille.
Since the AMC finale aired, fans have been working diligently to prove that Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, is the victim of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan (evidence #1 | evidence #2).
The sixth season concluded open-ended, leaving viewers screaming into the sky in rage as they’d have to wait until this fall to find out who Negan killed.
The show hasn’t always followed the comic’s script, which us why even the hardcore fans were frustrated by the cliffhanger.
Well, some fresh casting news may have tipped AMC’s hand as to whom is exiting “The Walking Dead.”

Last week we told you that production was underway on Bong Joon Ho’s (Snowpiercer, The Host, Mother) Okja, which stars Tilda Swinton ( Snowpiercer, Doctor Strange, Hail, Caesar!, Moonrise Kingdom), Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko, Nightcrawler, Everest) and Paul Dano (Love & Mercy, 12 Years a Slave).
The Netflix production just added another huge name to the growing cast: Steven Yeun.
Yup, the actor who plays Glenn is going to be pretty busy making a feature that’s filming in South Korea, Canada and the U.S.
Does this mean he’s too busy to return to “The Walking Dead”? Not necessarily, but this is a strong clue that adds fuel to the fire that we’ve seen the last of Glenn on “The Walking Dead”.
I think it’s time to start writing your farewells…
