‘Layers of Fear’ DLC Drops in August

Published

on

With their surprise hit Layers of Fear, Bloober Team has proven itself adept at delivering psychological horror games that are as atmospheric as they are surreal to experience. The studio’s next game, the just-announced Observer, will take their skill for terror into the realm of sci-fi in 2017, but first, we’re going to get some closure for Layers of Fear.

In the epilogue chapter Layers of Fear: Inheritance, the perspective shifts to the daughter of the painter from the original game, as she returns to the home of her childhood in an attempt to face the demons of her past. Unfortunately, those demons are far more real than she could ever have known — and while that sucks for her, it does mean we’re getting even more Layers of Fear.

Inheritance releases August 2 for PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One and PS4. The original Layers of Fear is currently on sale for $9.99 (reg. $19.99) in the ongoing Steam Summer Sale.
