I suggest you all start coming up with an itemized list of the possessions and people you’d like to take with you when The Bunker opens this September. Set 30 years after an apocalyptic event has wiped out most of humanity, followed by the slow deaths of all but one of the inhabitants of the eponymous bunker, the story begins with the last remaining survivor of The Bunker as they struggle to stay sane and alive in an empty world.
Developed by Splendy Games and Wales Interactive, this upcoming psychological horror game blends old school ideas like point-and-click adventure game mechanics with modern, film-quality live-action cinematics starring Adam Brown (The Hobbit), Sarah Greene (“Penny Dreadful”, Assassin’s Creed 3), Grahame Fox (“Game of Thrones”), and Jerome St. John Blake (“Star Wars”). It was co-written by the writers of The Witcher and SOMA.
This game isn’t at all about mustering enough willpower to endure the daily monotony of such a lonely and seemingly purposeless existence — that’d make for one exceedingly depressing video game — but rather, the harrowing journey this lone survivor must embark on when an alarm suddenly forces him to “face his fears and uncover the terrifying mysteries held underground.”
The Bunker releases this September on PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile.
