At this point, Resident Evil 4 has effectively become the video game equivalent of the horror movie killer that simply refuses to die. It just keeps getting back up to claim new
victims platforms, and on August 30, it will finally add the PS4 and Xbox One to its collection. I fear there’s no stopping it now. It’s become too powerful, I don’t think even Capcom can contain it.
With its collection complete, Resident Evil 4 will almost certainly start assimilating humanity into its Borg-like consciousness. Try not to think about that too much. Resistance is futile.
When Resident Evil 4 returns, again, it will complete Capcom’s efforts to update the latter half of the main series for the PS4 and Xbox One. And like the recent ports of RE5 and RE6, its latest incarnation will support full 1080p HD and an increased frame-rate. It will also include “all the bonus content from the original game, as well as additional features that were added in later versions.”
But perhaps most importantly, it will also bring back the Merchant.
