Sneak Peek: Upcoming ‘Batman’ Comic Will Have Awesome Tribute to ‘The Fog’

Did The Fog take place in Gotham?!

We always love to see horror movies referenced in other forms of pop culture, and if you’re a fan of John Carpenter’s The Fog, you are going to love this little tribute that will soon be found inside, of all places, an issue of a Batman comic book. It was recently announced that fan-favorite creator Sean Gordon Murphy had linked up with DC to work on two Batman comics: the first will see him take over All-Star Batman, while the second will allow him to put his own unique spin on the Batman universe. And in his universe, Gotham isn’t far from Antonio Bay.

The Point Reyes Lighthouse, situated at the end of a long bridge in Marin County, California, was made famous by The Fog, as the real-life locale was of course used as the radio station Adrienne Barbeau’s character worked at. As @Sean_G_Murphy just teased over on Twitter, he’s just drawn the iconic lighthouse into the world his Batman story takes place in.

Gordon Murphy tweeted, along with two preview images:

I’m putting the lighthouse from THE FOG into Gotham.

Check out the artwork below, in two different stages.

On a related note, there’s a Hellraiser tribute in a new Iron Man comic!
