It’s Friday the 13th and Finnair Flight 666 Just Landed in HEL

Planes terrify me. I’m so glad I wasn’t on this one.

As originally reported by Daily Mail, Finnair flight AY666 departed Copenhagen, Denmark earlier today and just touched down safely in Helsinki, Finland, the latter of which is abbreviated HEL on airline tickets. Yes, on Friday the 13th of January 2017, flight 666 arrived on time in HEL, which is just about the most metal thing we have ever heard. I mean come on. That is so badass.

Oh and guess how old that particular plane is? Yup. 13 years!

The Twitter account @FlightRadar24 summed it up best:

Finnair flight 666, at 13 o’clock on Friday the 13th with a 13 year old aircraft, has landed safely in HEL.

The Helsinki Airport even had a little fun with the devilish coincidence. They tweeted:

Arrival to gate 25. Gate 13 would have been a match made in HEL.

Finnair is soon retiring flight number 666. New number systems will take over on October 29th, so this coming October 13th will be the last Friday the 13th trip to HEL on board Flight 666.

Amusing? We thought so!
