Second Season of “Wolf Creek” Coming This Year; Exclusive Preview from Greg McLean

We haven’t seen the last of Mick Taylor.

I am a HUGE fan of the Wolf Creek franchise and of its lead villain, Mick Taylor. Brilliantly played by John Jarratt across two films and thus far one season of a spinoff TV series, Taylor is one of the great horror icons of our time, and the franchise has proven to be a gift that keeps on giving.

Unfortunately, I haven’t seen the first season of Stan’s “Wolf Creek” series, which hits DVD on March 21st, but I’ll take our own Luis H.C.’s word for it: he called the series “unexpectedly brilliant,” and even named it the second best horror show of 2016. High praise, to say the least.

So can we expect a second season of “Wolf Creek”? And if so, when? Stan just took to Twitter today to announce that a second season will be hitting the network later this year!

We caught up with franchise creator Greg McLean (The Belko Experiment) immediately after hearing the news, and he was kind enough to exclusively tease the second season for us:

It will again be an intense and scary horror/thriller but this time out it’s an entirely new set of characters and storyline. At the center of it all will be the evil Mick Taylor – who takes his hobby of hunting and killing to shocking and chilling new levels as we delve deeper into his twisted psyche.

So there you have it. Mick’s coming back, baby!
