Around these parts, we’re big fans of director Mike Mendez. He’s the man behind gems like The Gravedancers and the supremely entertaining Big Ass Spider! and Lavalantula, and he also directed one of the best segments of 2015 anthology Tales of Halloween. Up next from Mendez is the Dolph Lundgren-starring Don’t Kill It, which now has a release date.

We’ve just learned that Archstone Distribution will release Don’t Kill It in limited theaters on March 3rd. It’ll also hit Digital VOD via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on the same day.

In his Fantastic Fest review here on Bloody Disgusting, Trace Thurman praised the festival hit, calling it “the epitome of a popcorn film [that] should be seen on a Saturday night with lots of drinks and plenty of friends.” He added, “You’re pretty much guaranteed to have a blast.”

You’ll find the trailer below.

In the film, “An ancient evil is unleashed in a small Alaskan town leaving a trail of death and destruction as it passes from host to host. The only hope of survival lies with a grizzled demon hunter (Lundgren) who has faced this terror before. Together with a reluctant FBI agent (Kristina Klebe) he has to figure out how to destroy a demon with the ability to possess its killer.

Don’t Kill It was written by Dan Berk (Body) and Robert Olsen (Body) of Last Pictures.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has two awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
