Cowabunga, Drac!
You may remember that back in the ’90s, Playmates put out of a line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures that dressed the beloved turtles up as iconic Universal Monsters such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolf Man. It was a strange line, but it’s become one that horror fans have strong nostalgic memories of. Well guess what? They’re coming back!
The official @TMNT Twitter just posted the above image out of Toy Fair that shows a Universal Monsters-inspired wave of brand new Ninja Turtles toys that are headed our way this year. Leonardo is playing the role of The Mummy, Donatello has transformed into Frankenstein’s Monster, Raphael is cosplaying as Dracula, and Michaelangelo is, well, he’s basically Teen Wolf.
