‘Split’ Headed Home in April With Alternate Ending and Deleted Scenes
The #1 movie in America for three weeks in a row is coming home.
All of us here on Bloody Disgusting agree that M. Night Shyamalan’s Split, which features a tour-de-force performance from James McAvoy, is one of the filmmaker’s very best films in the last several years, so we’re excited to announce that it’s coming to Blu-ray just three months after dominating the box office. Universal Home Entertainment will release the psychological thriller on Digital HD on April 4, 2017 and on Blu-ray & DVD and On Demand on April 18, 2017.
Both the DVD and Blu-ray will come packaged with a never-before-seen alternate ending, deleted scenes, character spotlight, and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film.
Read on for full details.
In Split, which also stars Anya Taylor-Joy…
While the mental divisions of those with dissociative identity disorder have long fascinated and eluded science, it is believed that some can also manifest unique physical attributes for each personality, a cognitive and physiological prism within a single being.
Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him—as well as everyone around him—as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.
Special Features:
- Alternate Ending
