You Can Watch 4-Hour Documentary for Rob Zombie’s ’31’ On iTunes

In Hell, everybody loves popcorn.

Personally speaking, one of last year’s biggest disappointments was Rob Zombie’s 31, which felt like a huge step back for the man who brought us outstanding gems such as The Devil’s Rejects and The Lords of Salem. But I’ll always love Zombie, and I’m not here to bash his work. Instead, we wanted to make fans of 31 aware of something pretty cool that can be watched right now.

When 31 hit DVD and Blu-ray, it came packaged with a 2-hour doc about the making of the film, but there was also a 4-hour extended version that many fans were having trouble finding. Where the hell is it and how can you watch? We’re happy to report that the full 4-hour doc, titled In Hell Everybody Loves Popcorn, can now be streamed along with the film’s iTunes purchase.

The doc, directed by Josh Hasty, actually runs 4-hours, 36-minutes long, digging deep into every aspect of the production. If you dug the film, and even if you didn’t, it’s a must-watch.

You can purchase Rob Zombie’s 31 on iTunes for $12.99; doing so gets you the film, the doc, and Zombie’s commentary. And again, this doc is NOT available on DVD or Blu-ray!

From the visionary mind of Rob Zombie comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped on Halloween and held hostage in a large compound.  At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game or life or death called 31.  For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

Sleepy Hollow movie

Paramount is heading to Sleepy Hollow with a brand new feature film take on the classic Headless Horseman tale, with Lindsey Anderson Beer (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines) announced to direct the movie back in 2022. But is that project still happening, now two years later?

The Hollywood Reporter lets us know this afternoon that Paramount Pictures has renewed its first-look deal with Lindsey Anderson Beer, and one of the projects on the upcoming slate is the aforementioned Sleepy Hollow movie that was originally announced two years ago.

THR details, “Additional projects on the development slate include… Sleepy Hollow with Anderson Beer attached to write, direct, and produce alongside Todd Garner of Broken Road.”

You can learn more about the slate over on The Hollywood Reporter. It also includes a supernatural thriller titled Here Comes the Dark from the writers of Don’t Worry Darling.

The origin of all things Sleepy Hollow is of course Washington Irving’s story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” which was first published in 1819. Tim Burton adapted the tale for the big screen in 1999, that film starring Johnny Depp as main character Ichabod Crane.

More recently, the FOX series “Sleepy Hollow” was also based on Washington Irving’s tale of Crane and the Headless Horseman. The series lasted four seasons, cancelled in 2017.
