Filming just recently wrapped over in South Africa on director Don Michael Paul’s Tremors 6, and the brand new franchise installment has been promised to be the series’ most bonkers outing to date. This time around, monster-hunter Burt Gummer and his son Travis head to a remote research facility in Canada; of course, the locale is infested with familiar-looking monsters.
Over on Instagram, the film’s director just showed off a pretty cool behind the scenes shot, teasing that Jamie Kennedy’s character Travis Welker is going to at some point end up literally inside the belly of the beast. You may remember that Burt Gummer also ended up inside of a slimy Graboid in Tremors 3, so you could say that his son is truly following in his footsteps.

In the film…
Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the artic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid!
Gross and Kennedy are joined by franchise newcomers Tanya van Graan (Death Race: Inferno, Zulu), Rob van Vuuren (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) and Greg Kriek (Momentum).
John Whelpley (Tremors 5: Bloodlines) wrote the script.
Tremors 6 will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD in 2018 from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production entity of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
