Remember when RoboCop was remade? Me neither.
Last week we shared with you a modernized trailer for 1979’s Alien that was inspired by the latest trailer for this year’s Alien: Covenant, and we mentioned how we always enjoy it when fans cut up classic movies and imagine what their trailers would be like if they were released in the present day. The man behind that Alien trailer, Ben Cannell, is back this week with another little gem.
Ben dropped his just-uploaded modern RoboCop trailer into our inbox this morning, and we wanted to share it with you guys. Running over two-minutes long, the modernized trailer is chock full of spoilers; in other words, Ben hit the “modern trailer” on the head with this one.

The sci-fi film takes place in a dystopic and crime-ridden Detroit where a terminally wounded cop (Peter Weller) returns to the force as a powerful cyborg haunted by submerged memories.
