This should be good reading for the second annual #AlienDay.
As hardcore fans know, the Alien franchise extends pretty far beyond the actual films. Over the years, various novels and comic books have dug deep into the mythology in an effort to tell brand new stories for fans; and though that stuff may not actually be considered canon, it’s always nice when a franchise you love just never seems to stop moving. Speaking of which…
We’ve just learned that a new anthology book titled Aliens: Bug Hunt is set for release on April 18th, just one week prior to this year’s #AlienDay (April 26th).
In the book, edited by Jonathan Maberry:
When the Colonial Marines set out after their deadliest prey, the Xenomorphs, it’s what Corporal Hicks calls a bug hunt—kill or be killed. Here are fifteen all-new stories of such “close encounters,” written by many of today’s most extraordinary authors.
Set during the events of all four Alien films, sending the Marines to alien worlds, to derelict space settlements, and into the nests of the universe’s most dangerous monsters, these adventures are guaranteed to send the blood racing.
The book, from Titan Books, will be available in either hardcover or paperback. You can pre-order your preferred edition today and check out the cover art below!
