This whiskey was made deep in the bowels of Hell. But not really.
I’m not very picky when it comes to the alcohol I consume. Often, the decision of which booze to take home with me is based entirely on two things: name and label design. If a bottle looks cool and/or has a cool name, I’m going to buy it. Take Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka, for example. I don’t even like vodka. But it comes in a freakin’ skull, so how the hell can I resist?!
Whiskey is not really a thing I enjoy all that much either, but oh boy am I craving a bottle of Hellboy Hell Water right about now. The new offering from Dark Horse Comics and Prestige Imports is of course based on the Mike Mignola-created comic book character that Ron Perlman portrayed in Guillermo del Toro’s film adaptations, and it’s set to launch on April 14.
It was announced this week that XXX Distillery’s two locations in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee will craft produce, bottle and ship Hell Water to distributors across America.
Hellboy Hell Water is small batch naturally flavored cinnamon whiskey. It is micro-distilled, hand bottled and styled in the old traditional process of making Southern Corn Whiskey. Old fashioned corn whiskey uses only the finest corn, natural ingredients, spring water, glassware and craftsmanship.
Oh and yes, of course Hell Water is 66.6 proof. Because duh.
