Oh my god this is cruel. And amazing.

Remember when Pennywise pops up in the storm drain in the 1990 adaptation of Stephen King’s IT? It’s a creepy moment that still sends chills up the spine to this day, and one fan just recreated it in an inspired effort to scare the living crap out of his neighbors. How, you ask? Well, Reddit user Yetti22 found a opening in a sidewalk in his town… and he put Pennywise inside of it.

No seriously. This shit is crazy clever. Check it out below!

In theaters September 8, 2017, the new film is set “in a small town in Maine, where seven children known as The Losers’ Club come face to face with life problems, bullies, and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.“

Bill Skarsgard stars as Pennywise, the sewer-dwelling monster. The cast also includes Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Nicholas Hamilton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Creature performer Javier Botet will play The Leper, and Owen Teague plays Patrick Hocksetter, a bully who torment the Losers’ Club.

Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg, and Barbara Muschietti produce.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
