Did you know that Part 2 has the lowest body count of the whole series?
It’s kind of funny that Paramount can’t seem to get a new Friday the 13th film off the ground, because there was a time when they were churning out new sequels left and right – the first follow-up, Friday the 13th Part 2, was released just one year after the first film! Part 2 is of course the movie that began Jason’s bloody reign of terror, and it’s the subject of the latest “Kill Count” video from our friend James A. Janisse of the YouTube channel Dead Meat.
As we told you last week, the brand new “Kill Count” YouTube series will spawn a new video each and every Friday, and today he takes a closer look at all the kills from Jason’s very first outing. There are of course some great kills in Part 2, with the most iconic being the cruel machete-to-the-face murder of wheelchair-bound Mark. Still feel bad for that dude, all these years later.
James doesn’t, however. He thinks Mark’s death was funny. Okay, it kind it was.
