Filming is set to begin this week on director Simon Kaijser’s psychological thriller Spinning Man, an adaptation of the same-named novel penned by George Harrar. Deadline reports today that Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse, Tragedy Girls) has just joined the cast, which also includes the previously announced Guy Pearce, Pierce Brosnan, and Minnie Driver.

Shipp will play Anna, a college student conflicted by an affair she had with her professor.
