While it seems like a Diablo clone at first glance, Haemimont Games’ indie action-RPG Victor Vran set itself apart from its obvious inspiration with its own unique gameplay aspects. The game even got the legendary Motörhead in on the fun with an announced expansion pack back in 2014. In spite of Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister’s passing in 2015, the expansion pack is still on, along with a bigger announcement.
Publisher Wired Productions announced today that the definitive edition of Victor Vran, entitled the “Overkill Edition”, will hit PC, XBox One and Playstation 4 on May 30th. The Overkill Edition will include the previously-released expansion, ‘Fractured Worlds’, as well as the new Motörhead-inspired expansion, ‘Motörhead: Through the Ages’. Players who own the original game can still purchase either expansion separately.
The new expansion has Victor called to The Pub at the End of Time by the bartender, Lloyd Kaufman (yes, that Lloyd Kaufman), to help Lemmy discover why Snaggletooth (Motörhead’s iconic mascot) — which had been entrusted by Lemmy to defend the world — now lies silent. Sure, it sounds kind of goofy, but it’s frickin’ Motörhead! Check out the trailer for the Overkill Edition below.
What are the odds that we’ll be getting “Overkill” as one of the songs in the game?
