First Look at Gareth Evans’ ‘Apostle’ Plus More Plot Details

From the director of The Raid comes a new revenge thriller.

Dan Stevens (The Guest) is starring in director Gareth EvansApostle, a pairing that’s so awesome we can’t help but be incredibly interested in this one. The Welsh filmmaker, who also co-directed the segment ‘Safe Haven’ in our own V/H/S 2, looks to be returning to the world of sadistic cults in his latest film, and today brings the first image along with a new synopsis.

In Apostle

The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

Michael Sheen, Lucy Boynton, Bill Millner, and Kristine Froseth also star.

Aram Tertzakian and Ed Talfan are producing along with Evans. Executive producers are Nate Bolotin and Nick Spicer.

‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ – Watch the Brand New Teaser Trailer Now!

Godzilla is headed back to the big screen in Toho’s Godzilla Minus Zero from director Takashi Yamazaki (Godzilla Minus One), the official sequel to his hit Godzilla Minus One.

The first Japanese movie to be filmed for IMAX, Godzilla Minus Zero will receive a wide theatrical release in North America on November 6, 2026 via GKIDS.

Godzilla Minus One stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe will both be reprising their roles in Godzilla Minus Zero, with Takashi Yamazaki back in the director’s chair.

The film is set in 1949 — two years after the events of its predecessor.

Godzilla Minus Zero marks Toho’s 34th Godzilla film since 1954.

Godzilla Minus One grossed $116 million worldwide, making it the most successful Japanese Godzilla film. It went on to win an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects along with eight Japan Academy Film Prize awards. Needless to say, the bar has been raised by Toho.

With Yamazaki back at the helm, Godzilla Minus Zero promises to be an epic EVENT.
