Just about four months after filming began on Shane Black’s The Predator, we’ve just learned that production wrapped up today ahead of the Summer 2018 release. According to Black himself, he’s taking a couple weeks off before beginning the editing process, which he describes as “cooking the damn thing.”
Young star Jacob Tremblay made the wrap announcement over on Twitter, where he adorably wrote “Time for me to #GETTOTHECHOPPA!!!”
The movie once again features a group of unsuspecting humans who slowly realize that fierce hunter-aliens are in their midst, this time in what could be a suburban setting.
The cast also includes Boyd Holbrook, Keegan-Michael Key, Edward James Olmos, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski and Olivia Munn. Jake Busey also has a role, following in his father’s footsteps.
Black directed from a script he co-wrote with Fred Dekker.
Fox will hunt The Predator on August 3, 2018.
