If there’s one thing Friday the 13th: The Game has made me realize it’s that Jason may have actually looked his scariest in Friday the 13th: Part 2. Of course, the character truly became an icon when he came across a hockey mask in the subsequent installment, but there’s just something about “sackhead Jason” that’s super creepy to me.
Jason was played by Steve Dash in Friday the 13th: Part 2, and we’re happy to report today that Dash will be reprising the role at Cherry Hill, New Jersey’s upcoming Monster Mania Convention 37. The event, which runs August 18th-20th, will be attended by Dash, who’s going to be dressed up in the full Part 2 costume for the whole weekend!
The con made the announcement on Facebook today…
“We just received an email last night from STEVE DASH offering to do In-Costume Photo Ops! STEVE will be wearing a costume based on his role as JASON in FRIDAY THE 13th PART 2 each day of the show!”
Recently, both Kane Hodder and C.J. Graham (Jason Lives) have attended various conventions in costume as their versions of Jason, so it’s a damn good time to be a fan of the Friday films. Who would’ve ever thought we’d have these opportunities?!
