Fede Alvarez Shares Previously Unseen ‘Evil Dead’ Promo Photos

We still want to see Ash and Mia team up.

Before he made Don’t Breathe, Fede Alvarez first came to the attention of horror fans with Evil Dead, a remake of Sam Raimi’s classic film that was released in 2013. Smartly, the Evil Dead remake did away with the character of Ash completely, rebooting the franchise with a remake that was actually more of an indirect sequel than anything else.

Instead of Ash, Evil Dead 2013 featured main character Mia, played by Jane Levy. Though she wasn’t immediately identifiable as the Ash character, so to speak, Mia eventually ended up losing a hand and kicking some serious Deadite ass; solidifying her as, well, a female Ash of sorts.

Why do I bring this up? Because Alvarez just shared a couple of awesome promo stills from Evil Dead that highlight Levy’s ass-kicking character!

Covered in blood and holding a chainsaw, Mia looks like a true Deadite-slaying warrior in these previously unseen shots!
