There Will Be a 4-Minute Exclusive Look at ‘IT’ Attached to ‘Annabelle: Creation’

If you’re seeing David F. Sandberg’s Annabelle: Creation next weekend, you may want to arrive early and stay late. As we told you yesterday, there will be mid-credits and post-credits scenes, and we’ve also just learned that Warner Bros. and New Line have attached a sneak peek at September’s IT to the film.

As reported by the reliable Trailer Track, a 4-minute-13-second extended footage reel for Andy Muschietti’s IT will be shown before Annabelle: Creation next weekend.

No word yet on what exactly will be included in the reel, but the site notes that the sneak peek likely won’t make its way online.

Annabelle: Creation arrives Friday, August 11.

In Annabelle: Creation, “Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.

The full cast includes Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (Ouija 2), Philippa Anne Coulthard (After the Dark), Grace Fulton (Badland), Lou Lou Safran (The Choice), Samara Lee (The Last Witch Hunter), Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia (TV’s Without a Trace) and Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy).

Sandberg directed from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman, who also wrote Annabelle.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
