Just in time for Halloween, the late George A. Romero is FINALLY being honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame later today, Wednesday, October 25.
Whether or not you even think this sort of thing means much of anything, we should all be happy that Romero is finally taking his rightful place alongside Hollywood’s biggest and brightest. Hollywood may have shunned Romero over the years, but his influence and impact on cinema and pop culture at large simply cannot be overstated.
This one has been a LONG time coming. We’re just sad George isn’t here for it.

Later tonight, Prospect House Entertainment, Glendale Arts and Chris Roe Management, along with George A. Romero’s close family and friends, will celebrate George Romero’s life and career with The George A. Romero Official Tribute and Memorial.
Beginning at 8pm at The Alex Theatre in Glendale, California, the event will feature a Q&A with celebrity fans and friends, along with a screening of Creepshow.
