It’s hard to believe that it’s only been a couple of years since Gears of War 4, but here we are with Microsoft’s announcement today that Gears 5 (yes, that’s the official title) will release in 2019!
Not much was revealed in terms of story, other than the game will have Gears of War 4‘s Kait Diaz as the new main character. Plus, when the game looks this good, that seems like a small thing at the present time.
Developed by Vancouver-based studio The Coalition, the game will feature both split-screen and online co-op play. It will have support for 4K Ultra HD resolution, HDR, and will run at a smooth 60fps. And like all of the first-party Xbox games, Gears 5 will be available on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 when it hits next year.
