Sad news this morning, as it’s being reported across social media (via Horror Society) that actor Robert Kerman has passed away at the age of 71. Kerman is most known for playing Professor Harold Monroe in Ruggero Deodato’s Italian horror classic, Cannibal Holocaust.
Kerman actually starred in a handful of Italian cannibal films, that list also including Umberto Lenzi’s Eaten Alive! and then, shortly thereafter, Lenzi’s Cannibal Ferox.
As the actor’s IMDb bio notes, “Kerman’s porn career flourished during the middle and late 1970s and early 1980s. He appeared in over 100 adult porn feature films in lead and supporting parts. Kerman resumed his work in the American porn industry until 1984, when he moved with his girlfriend to Los Angeles to break into mainstream acting.”
Kerman subsequently appeared in Night of the Creeps and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man.
