With Polish developer, People Can Fly, unlikely to ever give us a sequel to the beautiful filth known as Bulletstorm (busy helping out on some Battle Royale shooter or something called Fortnite last I heard) it must fall to another to provide us with a sandbox full of goofy weaponry to inventively take apart a planet full of mutants in a gloriously over the top fashion, and with every passing trailer, it looks like id Sofware and Avalanche Studio’s Rage 2 could be that game.
I mean, just take a look at this latest trailer. It shows off the delightfully silly weaponry in all its visceral glory.
It’s always cool to see a big shooter that doesn’t take itself seriously, and if early promise keeps up, then we’ll have a much-improved sequel to the ambitious, yet heavily flawed 2008 Rage.
Rage 2 is out May 14, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
