One of the most must-follow accounts on Twitter for horror fans is @StephenKing, who often tweets about what he’s reading and watching – whenever he’s not sharing adorable photos of his “evil” dog Molly, that is. And King did something really special for his followers last night, tweeting out “a little bedtime story” that pretty much ruined everyone’s night.
Hey, it’s his job to give us nightmares. He’s just doing it. And doing it well.
“Want a little bedtime story?” King began…
“My friend felt he had a hair caught between his eye and his glasses. He couldn’t get rid of it, so he looked in the mirror. A tick was crawling on his eyeball.”
King signed off for the night, “Nighty-night, sleep well.”
Presumably, this isn’t actually a true story (we hope), but rather King just trying his hand at those “two sentence horror stories” that are pretty popular here on the net. Okay, so King’s story is actually three sentences, but that’s neither here nor there. In just three sentences, King’s viral story got under everyone’s skin like only King can, and we love him for that.
Now who’s going to turn this into a movie? We could use another horror movie about ticks!
