The same Chinese source that discovered Death Stranding‘s November release date ahead of the official announcement has provided alleged proof of the release date for PlayStation exclusive The Last of Us: Part II.
The source claims there will be four editions of the game (Standard Edition, Special Edition, Collector’s Edition, and Ellie Edition) and it is tentatively set for a February 2020 release. Industry insiders ZhugeEx and Nibel both reported the leak, lending it a bit more weight.
It’s not the first time February has been mentioned as a release date for the game, with it coming from multiple sources since Death Stranding was confirmed to be a 2019 title for the PS4. It didn’t get a showing before E3 during Sony’s State of Play show, so it could be that the next State of Play gives us more information and confirmation of a solid release date.
Four editions do seem a bit much for a single-player title like this, but I’m still intrigued to see what exactly an Ellie Edition is.
