Last week, thanks to Bandai Namco, Bloody Disgusting went to a preview event for Man of Medan, Supermassive Games’ spiritual follow-up to its 2015 horror hit Until Dawn, and the first entry in an anthology series called The Dark Pictures, and while there we learned about the game’s secret weapon, namely that it, and all future games in The Dark Pictures anthology. have multiplayer modes for online and offline play.
Online multiplayer is for 2 players, and allows you and your partner to play out different parts of the story in separate environments, as well as cooperating in scenes together (well, that’s the idea anyway). You’ll see aspects of the story the other person doesn’t and vice-versa.
The other is Movie Night mode, a pass-the-pad version of the game for up to 5 people. You get to control a character each, passing control to the next player in the next scene. Expect many arguments over the sensible way to escape a ghost ship (just like the movies!).
