‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Heads Back to the Stage for Off Broadway Revival This Halloween Season

Audrey, Seymour and Orin are all headed back to the stage in an Off-Broadway revival of the iconic musical Little Shop of Horrors, Entertainment Weekly informs us this morning!

The revival will take over New York’s Westside Theatre this coming Halloween season, with Jonathan Groff cast in the role of Seymour, played by Rick Moranis in the 1986 film.

Seymour is a down-on-his-luck florist with a crush on his co-worker Audrey. When he discovers a mysterious – and voracious – plant, suddenly Seymour and Audrey are thrust into an epic battle that will determine the fate of the human race.

Tammy Blanchard is playing Audrey, with Christian Borle as Orin.

Tony-winning director Michael Mayer will be directing the revival.

EW notes, “Previews for the upcoming production begin on September 17, with opening night scheduled for October 17. Tickets are on sale now through November 24 only.”
