Robert Englund may be primarily known for playing villains on screen, but horror fans known that off screen he’s one of the kindest, coolest people you can meet on the convention scene. For years, Englund has been meeting and hanging out with fans at various horror conventions across the country, but a recent visit to Illinois was under different circumstances.
An 18-year-old teen named Henry had a dream of meeting his horror hero, and Make-A-Wish Illinois just made it happen! The organization tweeted out over the weekend:
“18-year-old Henry watched A Nightmare on Elm Street while coping with his rare disease. After being referred for a wish, Henry knew he wanted to meet his favorite horror icon @RobertBEnglund, who famously portrayed Freddy Krueger!”
Henry dressed up as Freddy Krueger for the meeting, red & green sweater, fedora, razor glove and all, and you can check out a heartwarming photo of his hangout with Englund below.
This right here is what it’s all about.
