We’ve learned the sad news this week that Lane Carroll, who played leading character Judy in George A. Romero’s The Crazies (1973), recently passed away.
Lawrence DeVincentz, who had been working with Carroll on an upcoming appearance at the Living Dead Weekend event, paid tribute to the actress in a touching post on Facebook.
DeVincentz’s tribute notes that Lane Carroll also starred in Russ Meyer’s Motorpsycho! under the name Hollie K. Winters, and that she appeared on the cover of the very first issue of National Lampoon Magazine. “Lane had an interesting life to say the least. Actress and Author to name a few of her occupations. She did so many things,” DeVincentz writes.
