This morning I received a press release for an upcoming prop auction that’s so good, I’d sell your soul to get my hands on any number of items.
Prop Store’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction is set to take place on Monday, September 30th and Tuesday, October 1st, and features a collection of film memorabilia worth over $7.2 million.
The highlight is Freddy Krueger’s (Robert Englund) glove from Freddy vs. Jason (2003), which is estimated to sell between $25k – 37k, and Jason Voorhees’ (Ken Kirzinger) stunt machete from the same film (estimate $5k – 7.5k).
Other incredible historic pieces include:
- Jack Torrance’s (Jack Nicholson) axe from The Shining (1980)
- Ghostface’s hero knife from Scream 2 (1997).
- Angelique’s (Valentina Vargas) box from Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996).
- Carrie White’s (Chloë Grace Moretz) bloody prom dress from Carrie (2013).
- Necronomicon from Sam Raimi’s Army of Darkness (1992).
Auction items are now on display at a free exhibition open to the public at the BFI IMAX, Waterloo, London, England SE1 8XR from 10:00am to 9:30pm, until Tuesday, October 1, 2019.
Prop Store’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction, in partnership with the BFI IMAX proudly presented by ODEON, will take place at the BFI IMAX Waterloo (1 Charlie Chaplin Walk, London SE1 8XR). The auction will be live-streamed online for fans to track the bidding on auction day.
