One of this Halloween season’s most fun food/drink promotions was Mountain Dew‘s brand new soda “VooDew,” a fizzy white drink with a mystery flavor. For the past few months, Halloween lovers have been tracking down and tasting bottles of “VooDew” in an effort to guess the flavor, and the company has today – on the eve of Halloween – revealed all.
With a little help from the Grim Reaper himself, Mountain Dew announced this morning that the “VooDew” mystery flavor is the single most iconic Halloween treat: CANDY CORN.
So if you’ve been going around saying you hate candy corn but you’ve been loving the taste of “VooDew” all October, not knowing it tastes like candy corn, the joke’s on you!
My guess? Cotton candy. So you could say I was…half right? Yeah, we’ll go with that.
“VooDew” won’t be around much longer, so be sure to stock up if you can find it!
