Survival Horror game Song of Horror wrapped up its final episode on PC earlier this year, bringing an end to its story of a cursed music box and its haunting, harrowing effect on those who hear its song. With that being done, the music will finally be heard on Xbox One and PS4, arriving at the spookiest time of the year.
Developer Raiser Games announced an October 29 release date for the fixed-camera throwback horror game on consoles at the Gamescom 2020 edition of the Future Games Show.
The game has you interchange between thirteen characters, all connected by their investigation into the malicious musical box in some way, and all do so at their own unique location. You must gather clues, solve puzzles, and escape the evil forces that come your way, but the kicker is, all of the protagonists can die permanently, with the story continuing through one of the remaining survivors.
It’s a game that proudly displays its survival horror influences, with plenty of nods to classics such as Clock Tower and the original Resident Evil.
With the next installment of The Dark Pictures Anthology also releasing at the end of October, there’s plenty of fresh spooky fare to play on Halloween night.
