‘Friday the 13th: A New Beginning’ Actor Corey Parker Has Passed Away

Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning‘s Corey Parker has passed away at the age of 60.

TMZ reports that the actor died on Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee, after a battle with cancer.

Parker played ill-fated greaser Pete in the 1985 slasher sequel, which he later recounted in the documentary Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th. His other genre credits include Michael Winner’s Scream for Help and Tobe Hooper’s I’m Dangerous Tonight.

Parker was also known for a five-episode stint on “Will & Grace” as Josh, one of Grace’s boyfriends. He appeared in the likes of 9½ Weeks, “Nashville,” Biloxi Blues, White Palace, How I Got Into College, and The Rainmaker.

Later in his career, Parker became an acting teacher and served as an acting coach on “Ms. Marvel” and “Sun Records.”

Parker’s sister, actress Noelle Parker, said in a statement to The BGB Studio, “I believe he left this world weightless, at peace and surrounded with love.”
