Just in time for the best time of year, Netflix is bringing back its animated series Haunted Hotel for a fresh batch of adventures. Ahead of Season 2’s premiere on the streamer on October 9, Netflix has unleashed an all-new trailer for the upcoming eight episodes, which you can see below.
The streamer described of the new series, “New ghosts. New employees. New undefined evils that we haven’t even discovered yet! Katherine and her family find their groove as more paranormal problems come looking for vacancies. But can a haunted hotel ever really feel like home?”
Haunted Hotel stars Will Forte (Sweet Tooth), Eliza Coupe (Future Man), Skyler Gisondo (The Quarry, Santa Clarita Diet), Natalie Palamides (The Powerpuff Girls), and Jimmi Simpson (Westworld, Black Mirror).
The series was created by showrunner Matt Roller (Rick and Morty, Community) and produced by Titmouse (Big Mouth, The Venture Bros). In the debut season, a single mother tries to run the world’s most haunted hotel with her ghost brother, two kids, a demon trapped in a little boy’s body, and an ever growing collection of ghosts, monsters, and supernatural disasters.
Erica Hayes (Rick and Morty, Carol & the End of the World) is the supervising director. Roller executive produces alongside Chris McKenna (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Community), Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty, Community), and Steve Levy (Rick and Morty, Community).
Haunted Hotel debuted in September of 2025 and earned relatively positive reviews, sitting at 79% positive reactions from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. In Daniel Kurland’s review of Season 1, he explained, “Haunted Hotel is full of silly supernatural specters and ludicrous scenarios. Yet behind these broad spectacles is a deeper analysis of how the universe can either be ruled by order or chaos. This is filtered through more specific topics, like family and success, as the central theme. As far as Netflix’s other heightened fantastical comedies, like Mulligan and Disenchantment, are concerned, Haunted Hotel is the strongest of the lot.”
Haunted Hotel Season 2 premieres on October 9.
