Jack Osbourne Becomes a Scare Actor in Ozzy Osbourne Maze at Halloween Horror Nights

Ozzy Osbourne's haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights

Ozzy Osbourne has a decades-long legacy as the “Prince of Darkness,” first due to the darker themes of his musical projects and then due to the visual approach to his albums and live shows. This year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Florida pays tribute to the icon with the haunted house Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, which immerses guests into the covers of the musician’s seminal albums.

Proving that the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne has become a figure in the world of horror himself, courtesy of a variety of paranormal programs he’s starred in. This past weekend, Jack and his daughter Pearl fully embraced Ozzy’s legacy by becoming Scare Actors in the Hollywood version of the Prince of Darkness maze. Osbourne shared the below video highlighting the experience.

Jack and Ozzy Osbourne’s widow, Sharon Osbourne, were heavily involved in the development of the house at both parks. While both attractions honor Ozzy’s achievements, the actual houses themselves highlight different corners of his career.

“His music throughout every room is at the heart of it all,” Sharon Osbourne told Entertainment Weekly ahead of the event’s opening. “Fans will also see scenes inspired by Ozzy’s journey, from his early days as a little boy growing up in Birmingham, England, riding the train to and from London, to the iconic imagery and characters from across his career.”

The attraction is described, “You’re in Ozzy’s world now. Bow at the throne of the Prince of Darkness in this haunted house inspired by the twisted mind of one of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest
legends.”

Jack Osbourne is no stranger to the world of paranormal, as he’s delivered a handful of his own investigative series over the years. For the Travel Channel, he delivered Portals to Hell, in which he and cohost Katrina Weidman traveled to destinations with such otherworldly reports that they felt like they must be conduits to other realms. That series ran for three seasons.

One of the first reality shows Osbourne starred in was MTV’s The Osbournes, which chronicled the more mundane daily activities of the family. Decades later, Jack, Sharon, and Ozzy all starred in The Osbournes Want to Believe. That series was produced during the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent quarantine, and rather than going out and investigating on their own, it featured Jack showing his parents compelling footage of paranormal events. Like the original MTV show, a highlight was getting candid and unfiltered reactions from Ozzy and Sharon, either buying into what they were seeing or completely debunking the clips.

Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights now through November 1.
