I haven’t had cable or basic TV channels for over two decades. That’s right, when I turn on my TV, I get nothing but static. It’s honestly a great thing and while the first six months were awful for a 9-year old, I’m really happy now not being glued to the TV constantly.
That being said, when I was a young’un I was all about the NES. I played the absolute hell out of that system. My parents tell me that I was beating “Super Mario Bros.” before I could walk. I don’t know if that’s family pride or something said with a slight air of disappointment but I’ll take it.
