Artist Sean Hughes is a big fan of the Evil Dead series. And who can blame him? None of the movies are anything less than highly entertaining, some of them even offering a few scares here and there and definitely a hefty supply of blood and gore.
But what about the people that want to share those kinds of experiences with their children? And I’m not talking about 9 or 10 year olds here. I’m talking about the ones that you still tuck into bed, the ones that are barely out of their strollers, the ones that you read a bedtime story to. Well, that’s where Hughes comes in.
Not content with the toddler/preschooler crowd being unable to enjoy Sam Raimi’s insanity, Hughes has put together his own take on Evil Dead II by drawing and creating “The Littlest Deadite“, a children’s book that takes the sequel and gives it an adorable yet still faithful and creepy twist. If this were a book I could buy in a store, I’d be all over it.
