Art is a truly subjective medium when it comes to appreciation. There are people who like the sublime use of color from artists like Monet or Klimt. Others appreciate the weirdness and surrealism of Dali and Ernst. And still some others go down the route of darkness, where pain and beauty mix into something grotesque and fascinating.
