Cannibalism is one of those incredibly strange crimes that has the ability to physically turn stomachs as well as seem so incredibly disrespectful that it’s an affront to all things sensible. For many, it’s an absolutely sickening thought. But for some, there is a strange fascination when it comes to the thought of eating human flesh.
Now, I am in no way advocating or promoting harming anyone to try tasting them. Instead, I’m here to talk about Greg Foot and his video where he goes on a mission to discover what human flesh would actually taste like when cooked.
The journey begins with Foot getting a muscle biopsy of his thigh. He then takes the samples to a food scientist who studies the aromas present when the samples are cooked. From there, Foot busy the meats that are present in the aroma, blends them together, cooks himself a hamburger, and eats it, which allows him to get as close to cannibalism as the law allows.
Foot describes the taste as “beefy” and “lamby”, which is actually the kind of meat blend I used when I grill hamburgers, so I guess I’m already in the know when it comes to the taste of human!
Now, it’s time to ask all of you, would you eat human flesh if given the chance?
