Three years ago, I was in Montreal for the Fantasia Film Festival. One day as I was walking towards a theater, the sky opened up and nothing shy of a torrential downpour engulfed everyone. Ducking into a small shop to escape the deluge, I bought an umbrella that has been a part of my travel kit ever since. Small, compact, and effective, I don’t really need much more.
But goddammit, Pluvio Umbrella is really tempting me with their “Nightmare” umbrella, which features artwork by the extremely talented and ever inventive artist Alex Pardee. The artwork, which admittedly is on the top of the umbrella so not very many people will see it unless they’re taller or on higher ground, is nothing short of gorgeous. Pardee has created a stunning nightmare that is as hypnotic as it is spine-tingling. It’s basically a great way to tell they sky, “You don’t scare me! I’m here to scare you!”
Check out the photos below and then, if you want one, you can order yours through Pluvio directly.
