‘Sinister Pointe’ is a Maze That Allows You to Choose Your Own Path

Published

Horror mazes can be a ton of fun. Personally, I don’t get scared by them or by haunted houses but I absolutely love the amount of work that potentially goes into making these events. From the makeup on the performers to the props and designs of the environment, it’s clear that everything was put together so as to try to create the scariest and most exhilarating atmosphere. So what if these places don’t scare me? They’re still awesome!

Hence why I’m kinda upset I don’t live anywhere near Orange County and its haunted attraction Sinister Pointe, which is a, “…fully immersive, interactive maze offering a “choose your own adventure” style walkthrough.” The way it works is people start their journey but there are several breaks in the path at various points, each leading to a different outcome. Ultimately, visitors will end up at, “…one of four different experiences, where they will be branded with that dimension’s mark of the damned. Each realm is associated with a specific demon.” Pictures of those demons can be seen below.

Sinister Pointe has opened a portal between our world and the next. Upon multiple experimentations we have discovered four separate dimensions within this dark and vast oblivion. Enter this world cautiously for the BRANDER lurks beyond the walls. If you are caught in his grasp, you WILL BE MARKED. Once marked, there is no escape! Your path through this dark and decrepit world has been chosen for you. Stray from your chosen path and you will be banished from the world we know for eternity.

The even runs on select days through October and early November. More information can be found right here.

All of us here at Bloody Disgusting are deeply sad to learn that actress Daveigh Chase has passed away at just 35 years old. The news was first reported by TMZ this afternoon.

The outlet reports, “The actress’ boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, tells TMZ … Daveigh died Tuesday from meningitis and an infection in her blood, which caused her to have septic issues and led to her body shutting down.” The website’s report continues, “We’re told Daveigh had been admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles earlier this month because of malnutrition.”

Here in the horror world, a young Daveigh Chase memorably played Samara in Gore Verbinski’s 2002 horror movie The Ring, the American remake of the Japanese horror hit.

Far outside the horror world, Daveigh Chase voiced Lilo in the 2002 animated movie Lilo & Stitch, a character she continued to voice in various animated spinoff projects.

Chase also appeared as Samantha Darko in the 2001 classic Donnie Darko, later returning to play the sister of Donnie Darko in the 2009 spinoff movie titled S. Darko.

Daveigh Chase’s resume also includes roles on the TV shows “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” “Charmed,” “ER,” “Touched by an Angel,” “CSI,” “Cold Case,” and 32 episodes of “Big Love.”

Chase appeared in the films The Rats, Silence, Carolina, Beethoven’s 5th, Yellow, Little Red Wagon, Transference, Killer Crush, Jack Goes Home, and American Romance.

We send our deepest condolences to Daveigh Chase’s family, friends, and fans.
