Remember that scene in Child’s Play 2 where Chucky forces Kyle to drive him to Andy? The image of Chucky riding shotgun in a car is no doubt an unusual one; even more unusual if you were to encounter such a thing in the real world. And one police officer in California indeed did last week, after pulling over a driver in Contra Costa County.
Over the weekend, the Contra Costa police department shared a hilarious photo of a Chucky doll belted into the front passenger seat of a car, noting that a driver had brought Chucky up to the front seat in the hopes that it’d allow her to drive in the carpool lane.
“This seriously happened today,” the department captioned the photo on Facebook. They added, “Hilarious! A for effort… and here’s your carpool ticket.”
