‘The Meg’ Honest Trailer: A Shark Movie That Should Be Good-Bad Tries to Be Good-Good [Video]

The shark movie that tows the line between good-good and bad-good and just bad-bad – it’s the Honest Trailer for New Line Cinema’s The Meg.

Always a fun series that offers loving jabs at the biggest films, Honest Trailers dives in deep with this Jason Statham starrer that tries way too hard to be a good movie and forgets to be fun. It nails some of the film’s issues that extend as far as to the Chinese co-production and the fact that Statham is made of nothing more than stubble of growls. The trailer also interestingly points out that the movie completely repeats itself in order to fill its running time, “Did I just watch the first movie and the sequel in the same movie?”
